El Borracho
El Borracho is another local Mexican restaurant with locations in Pike Place, Ballard and Tacoma with a handful of vegan burritos, nachos and tacos. We often go for the Soyrizo con Papas, but they also have Potatos y Poblano and Hongas (sauteed mushrooms) for their vegan options. One of our favorite things about El Borracho is the wide array of salsas they offer! Try one, or six! And see which ones you like best.

Pablo y Pablo
Pablo y Pablo is a newer restaurant located in Wallingford and while not a completely vegan restaurant they are vegan friendly! Their newest item to their menu is the Impossible Albondigas, a meatball taco. They also have Vegan Chorizo taco, Vegan Charred Broccoli Tacos, and Vegan Cashew Cheese which comes on these two tacos as well as their vegan nachos (large serving and delicious)! A nice atmosphere, tacos are modest and run from $4.5-$6/per taco, but we recommend trying it for the right occasion!

Rocket Taco
Rocket Taco is in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle, although they also have a location on Whidbey Island for a while. We initially went to the Whidbey Island location and fell in love with their tacos, so much so we went back 3 days straight while we were there! They have 3 tacos that are vegetarian and can easily be made vegan: Sweet Potato Black Bean which comes with chipotle spiced sweet potatoes with black beans, guacamole, lime crema and pepitas. Quinoa Lentil which comes with smoky red quinoa with green lentils, radish, avocado salsa, and sweet potato crisps. And Cauliflower Chickpea which includes tumeric and cumin spiced cauliflower with chickpeas, cucumber, lime crema and cilantro. If you order the “Traditional, they only come with cilantro and onion. If you order the “Deluxe” (which comes with some additional toppings such as guac and crema) make sure to ask for NO CREMA on the Deluxe tacos & NO CHEESE on the beans!
